Shah Rukh Khan once again proved why he is the undisputed King of wit and charm. During his recent Ask SRK session on X (formerly Twitter), the superstar entertained fans with candid answers about his career, family, and future projects. But when one user tried to age-shame him and suggested he retire, SRK delivered a sharp yet humorous comeback.

A fan asked, “Bhai ab umar hogyi retirement le lo, dusre bache logo ko aage aane do” (Brother, you’ve grown old now, retire and let the youngsters take over). The question didn’t sit well with Khan, who shot back, “Bhai, tere sawaalon ka bachpana jab chala jaaye… phir kuch accha sa puchna! Tab tak temporary retirement mein reh please” (Brother, when the childishness in your questions goes away… then ask something worthwhile! Till then, please stay in temporary retirement).

The response instantly went viral, with fans praising the 58-year-old actor’s sass and sense of humour. Interestingly, just moments earlier, a fan had asked him how he deals with trolls. SRK replied in style: “Dumbells and action can break my bones… but words can never hurt me!! I am too busy listening to the music in my heart, man.”

On Winning the National Award

Khan, who recently bagged the National Award for his powerful performance in Jawan, was also asked about the big win. He replied with excitement, “YAY!!!!! I feel like the King of the Nation!!! Too much honour and too much responsibility to try and excel and work harder!!”

Upcoming Projects

On the work front, SRK is gearing up for Sujoy Ghosh’s much-awaited film King, which also stars Suhana Khan, Raghav Juyal, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, and Rani Mukerji. Initially slated for a 2026 release, the film has now been pushed to 2027 after Khan sustained a serious injury and was advised rest.

The actor also confirmed his role in Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, Ba**ds of Bollywood, a satirical take on the quirks and eccentricities of the Hindi film industry.
