Pune, August 25, 2025: On the occasion of Rishi Panchami, a grand spiritual event will be held on Thursday, August 28, starting at 6:00 AM, where around 31,000 women will collectively recite the sacred Atharvashirsha. This annual tradition attracts thousands of devotees and showcases deep cultural and religious devotion.

Rajani Kshirsagar, Assistant Charity Commissioner of the Pune Division, will grace the event with her presence. Adding to the spiritual fervor, Maharashtra’s Warkari community will perform Hari Jagar from 10:00 PM to midnight, offering devotional service to Lord Ganesha through traditional chants and music.

The celebration will also include a variety of cultural and religious activities such as Surya Namaskar, Agnihotra rituals, Vedic chanting, and the traditional Haldi-Kunku ceremony for women.

Daily rituals will begin at 5:00 AM with Maha Abhishek Puja. From 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, scholar Milind Rahurkar will conduct the Ganesh Yagya, followed by another Yagya in the South Indian tradition led by Nataraj Shastri from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Devotees will also be allowed to perform Abhishek personally between 5:00 AM and 5:00 PM at the main pavilion.
