Uncomfortable Moment at Lalbaugcha Raja: Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra’s Viral Video Divides Internet
As Ganesh Utsav celebrations continue in Mumbai, several Bollywood celebrities have been visiting famous pandals to seek blessings. On Wednesday, August 27, actors Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra visited the iconic Lalbaugcha Raja pandal along with director Tushar Jalota. The trio offered prayers on the day of Chaturthi before the release of their film Param Sundari.
Crowd Chaos Leaves Janhvi Uncomfortable
Videos from the pandal soon went viral on social media. Janhvi looked radiant in a red saree with a gold temple border, while Sidharth wore a pastel pink kurta-pajama.
However, in the clips, Janhvi appeared visibly uncomfortable as she moved through the heavy rush of devotees. The pushing and pulling in the crowd seemed overwhelming, and she was seen struggling to remain calm.
Viral Clip:
Sidharth was spotted shielding Janhvi and making sure she had space to move safely. Fans noticed how he walked closely beside her, ensuring she was not hurt in the chaos.
The videos received mixed reactions online. The videos also made it to Reddit where it was posted carrying a critical caption: “Why come in crowded places if it’s inevitably uncomfortable?”
Netizens React to Viral Video
Many users defended Janhvi, calling out unnecessary trolling. One comment read, “It will be uncomfortable for women anywhere on the streets, bro! Nothing to do with pandals or events. Without security even Janhvi fears being groped, whilst Sid is a bit relaxed in comparison.”
Another user pointed out the nature of the pandal, writing, “This is Lal Baugh Cha Raja; this pandal is not like others. Mumbaikers know this. No matter what day or what time, it always is crowded.”
Others highlighted the double standards celebrities face. A comment stated, “Agreed! Couldn’t care less about her, but if they had shut down the place for private darshan or used VIP lines or something, then we would see posts here calling out her privilege. When she’s braving it like the rest of us plebeians, that’s also an issue. There’s just no winning with you people.”
Another user added, “Unnecessary hate. Maybe we should teach men how to behave or inculcate some civic sense to line up in crowded places instead of ‘calling out’ women just being afraid of being groped.”
