Pune, September 1, 2025: In a swift operation, Pune police dismantled an illegal gambling setup inside a flat at the upscale Marvel Citrine Society in Kharadi, detaining 26 individuals. The raid was executed early Friday morning following a late-night intelligence tip.

The raid resulted in the seizure of playing cards, casino chips, cash worth ₹6,500, six jumbo card decks, and two high-value mobile phones, with the total seized property valued at ₹77,100. The police registered an FIR (Crime No. 189/2025) under Sections 4 and 5 of the Maharashtra Gambling Prevention Act.

Acting on a tip-off, Senior Police Inspector Sanjay Chavan led a team to the premises, where they found 24 individuals engaged in a poker game, while two others – identified as Shlok Sanjay Sangtani (29) and Siddhant Sanjeev Kakkar (35) – were allegedly operating the den without authorization.
