Speculation grows after video of altercation surfaces, but reports suggest Kiku has signed a rival reality series

Kiku Sharda, best known for his character Bumper Lottery on The Great Indian Kapil Show, has reportedly quit the popular comedy series. The development comes just days after a video of his alleged altercation with fellow comedian Krushna Abhishek went viral, fuelling rumours that the dispute led to his exit.

Earlier today, celebrity paparazzo Viral Bhayani shared on Instagram that Sharda has “moved out” of the show. He also noted “visible unrest” in Kapil Sharma’s team over the past few days, adding that the clash between Sharda and Abhishek only amplified the speculation.

The viral clip showed a heated exchange between the two comedians:

  • Kiku Sharda was heard saying, “Timepass kar raha hu?”
  • To which Krushna responded sharply, “Toh phir thik hai aap karlo. Main jata hu yaha se.”
  • Sharda countered, “Baat yeh hai ke mujhe bulaya hai toh main apna khatam kar lona pehle.”
  • Krushna ended with, “I love you and respect you, I don’t want to raise my voice.”

While fans linked this spat to Sharda’s departure, Bhayani claimed that the real reason may be his new professional commitment. According to him, Sharda has been signed up for the upcoming reality series Rise & Fall, to be streamed on Amazon MX Player—a direct rival to Netflix, which hosts Kapil Sharma’s show. The series will reportedly be hosted by Ashneer Grover.

Sharda, who has been a part of Kapil Sharma’s comedy franchise for years, is yet to make an official statement on whether he is leaving. For now, fans of the show remain divided, some believe the spat with Krushna triggered the decision, while others point to the lure of his new project.
