Pune, September 9, 2025: Residents of Pisoli have once again voiced concerns over three critical accident-prone locations in the area, highlighting the urgent need for intervention from civic and traffic authorities. The issues have persisted for years, despite repeated complaints and follow-ups, leaving locals frustrated over the lack of concrete action.

According to residents, the three vulnerable spots include Balaji Hotel–Hanuman Mandir Chowk, the T-road between Sanjar Furniture and Kenzo Furniture, and the Dharmavat Petrol Pump T-road. These stretches are frequently used by commuters and have been flagged as high-risk zones due to poor road design and traffic mismanagement. Locals fear that unless immediate measures are taken, the possibility of accidents will continue to loom over daily commuters.

The matter has been raised multiple times with the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), but residents claim it has been caught in a cycle of redirection between government bodies. Initially forwarded to the Traffic Police Commissioner, the responsibility was later shifted to the Divisional Traffic Authority, and eventually bounced back to PMC and the Public Works Department (PWD).

Residents, including Pravin Gunjal, Ali Khan, and Tehseen Teerandaz, expressed disappointment over the bureaucratic lapses. They stated that despite years of follow-ups, no authority has taken ownership to resolve the hazards. “We have been running from one department to another, but no one is ready to act,” said one of the complainants.

Citizens now urge authorities to stop passing the responsibility and instead implement safety measures such as proper traffic signals, speed breakers, and redesigning of the dangerous intersections. They warn that delaying action could result in further mishaps, putting lives at risk.
