Pune: Loud DJ During Eid-E-Milad Procession Shakes Building, Window Of Tea Shop On M G Road Crashes
Pune Camp, September 9, 2025: A festive celebration turned chaotic when booming DJ music allegedly shook an old building so hard that a window came crashing down at a tea shop on MG Road near Fashion Street.
The bizarre incident happened around 7:30 PM during Eid-E-Milad celebrations. The victim? A wooden window at Durvesh Tea Shop, run by senior citizen Shafi Shaikh, who was left shaken and furious.
“The DJ was so loud, it felt like an earthquake. The whole building trembled, and suddenly—CRASH! The window just fell,” said Shaikh, visibly distressed.
Shaikh, who has lived in the same creaky old building for decades, says he’s never experienced anything like it. “I stay here alone. What if I had been standing under that window?” he asked, adding that the sound was “deafening enough to break the walls.”
Calling the noise “dangerous and reckless,” Shaikh is now demanding police action. “It’s not just a nuisance anymore—people’s lives and properties are at risk,” he said.
No injuries were reported, but the scare has left locals rattled, with many backing Shaikh’s call for stricter noise control during public events.
Cops are yet to comment on the ruckus.
