Pune, September 12, 2025: Rural citizens in Pune district will now have easier access to government services, with 1,062 Aaple Sarkar Seva Kendras becoming operational across gram panchayats. These centres, recognised through a Government Resolution (GR) issued by the Rural Development Department on January 28, aim to deliver a wide range of notified services from various state government departments at the village level.

Out of 1,087 gram panchayats in the district, 1,014 received user IDs and passwords to activate the centres. The Zilla Parishad, in coordination with MahaIT, managed the rollout process, ensuring smooth activation and functioning.

To further streamline operations, a workshop was held at the district collector’s office under the chairmanship of Zilla Parishad CEO Gajanan Patil and additional collector Suhas Mapari. During the session, gram panchayat officials and service centre operators were briefed on effective management practices. The administration has also planned taluka-level training sessions to equip operators with hands-on knowledge.

Highlighting the benefits, CEO Gajanan Patil said, “These centres will ease the burden on rural citizens by offering multiple government services under one roof, reducing the need to travel to taluka or district offices. At the same time, they will help boost gram panchayat revenues, thereby strengthening local governance.”
