Pune: Budhwar Peth, Pune’s red-light district, was once again in the spotlight after a dramatic incident on Friday night. A 39-year-old man was allegedly beaten up by three women following a quarrel over an online payment.
The incident took place around 10 pm on September 12. According to police, the man had gone to one of the establishments in Budhwar Peth, where he agreed to make the payment through a digital app. However, when he tried to complete the transaction, he realized he had forgotten the password of his payment application.
