Pune, September 22, 2025: The Regional Passport Office (RPO) Pune has announced the launch of a special Passport Mobile Camp at Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). The camp will run from September 24 to October 1, 2025 (excluding September 27–28, Saturday and Sunday).
Organized under the Ministry of External Affairs’ Passport Seva initiative, the mobile camp aims to provide quicker appointments and strengthen last-mile delivery of passport services for citizens in Pune.
Key Details of the Passport Mobile Camp in Pune
- Dates: September 24, 25, 26, 29, 30 and October 1, 2025
- Venue: Department of Commerce, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Ganeshkhind, Pune – 411007
- Timings: 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM (applicants must report 15 minutes before their scheduled slot)
How to Apply for Passport Mobile Camp Appointments
- Visit the official website: www.passportindia.gov.in.
- Submit your passport application under the NORMAL scheme.
- Complete the online payment.
- On the ‘schedule appointment’ page, choose Passport Van, Pune University as the location.
- Book your preferred date and time slot.
Documents Required
Applicants are advised to carefully review the document checklist available on the official website before submitting their online application. Both adult and minor applicants must carry the necessary documents for verification.
As per Section 5 of the Passports Act, 1967, and Rule 5 of the Passports Rules, 1980, the Passport Authority reserves the right to seek additional information or documents if required for processing applications.
Objective of the Initiative
The Passport Mobile Seva Kendra at SPPU has been set up in response to rising demand in Pune, ensuring that more citizens get timely access to passport services without long waiting periods.
