Pune: Five Injured, 15 Year Old Boy Critical In Fire Incident At Marvel Ideal Spacio In Undri
Pune, September 26, 2025: A major fire broke out on the 12th floor of Marvel Ideal Spacio Society in Undri, a 14-storey residential tower located on Jagdamba Bhavan Road in Undri, Pune. The blaze erupted in one of the apartments, prompting the Pune Municipal Corporation’s Fire Department to rush five fire tenders and a hydraulic ladder to the spot.
Firefighters immediately began operations to douse the flames, carrying hose pipes to the upper floors. However, during the firefighting efforts, a sudden cylinder explosion occurred inside the affected flat. The blast left two fire personnel and three residents injured. Tragically, a 15-year-old boy is critical and has been sent to the hospital.
Authorities confirmed that the injured have been shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment. The blaze has since been brought under control, and cooling operations are currently in progress to prevent any further flare-ups.
The fire department is conducting an investigation to determine the exact cause of the blaze and the cylinder explosion. The incident has raised serious concerns about fire safety preparedness in high-rise societies across Pune.
