Pune: Traffic Diversion On Fergusson College Road For Garware Bridge Repairs On October 3
Pune, October 3, 2025: The Pune City Traffic Police have announced temporary traffic diversions on Fergusson College Road due to essential repair work on Garware Bridge. The changes will be in effect on October 3, 2025, between 1 pm and 4 pm.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Himmat Jadhav issued the order under the Motor Vehicles Act provisions to ensure smooth and safe traffic movement. Emergency service vehicles such as ambulances, fire brigades, and police vehicles will be exempted.
Diversions announced:
- Traffic from Jangli Maharaj Road towards Goodluck Chowk via Garware Bridge will be closed. Vehicles should proceed straight via Khandoji Baba Chowk to reach their destinations.
- Traffic from Khandoji Baba Chowk towards Fergusson College Road will be closed. Vehicles are advised to take a left and use Prabhat Road as an alternate route.
- Traffic from Jhansi Rani Chowk on Jangli Maharaj Road towards Khandoji Baba Chowk may also be closed, if required.
The Pune Traffic Police have appealed to motorists to cooperate and use the suggested alternative routes during the repair work.
