Unnati Social Foundation Extends Help to Flood-Hit Villages in Marathwada; Distributes 250 Relief Kits and ₹5 Lakh in Aid

Unnati Social Foundation has stepped forward to support families affected by recent floods in the Marathwada region by distributing essential relief materials and financial aid. The organization reached out to disaster-hit villages including Mangrul, Shelkadhanora, and Shirsura (Taluka Kalamb, District Dharashiv), as well as Palsinghan (Taluka Beed, District Beed), providing both goods and monetary assistance.

Under the leadership of Dr. (Mrs.) Kundatai Sanjay Bhise, President of Unnati Social Foundation, the team distributed 250 relief kits and ₹5 lakh worth of goods and cash to affected families. The kits contained essentials such as blankets, grains (wheat, rice, flour), sugar, oil, soap, clothes, school bags, books, notebooks, and school shoes. Additionally, animal fodder and other necessary items were provided to support farmers who lost livestock and property in the floods.

Founder Sanjay Bhise personally visited the flood-affected villages to oversee the relief distribution. Along with the material aid, the foundation also extended direct cash assistance to farmers who suffered major losses due to the disaster.

Unnati Social Foundation has a long-standing record of helping communities in times of crisis. The organization has previously contributed significant relief during the floods in Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, and Kerala. Continuing this tradition, their timely support in Marathwada has brought much-needed relief to affected families, especially ahead of the Diwali festival.

The initiative also received strong local support from several community organizations, including the All Senior Citizens Association, Vithai Library, Anand Hasya Club, Linear Garden Senior Citizens Group, Unnati Sakhi Manch, and senior citizens from Kunal Icon Society. Residents and volunteers from the Pimple Saudagar area actively participated, ensuring the success of the campaign.
