Sometimes life tests a person in ways that seem too hard to handle, but how they respond can define their future. IPS officer Anshika Jain’s story is one such inspiring journey. Born in Delhi, Anshika faced tragedy at the age of five when she lost both her parents. This sudden loss could have held her back, but instead, it became the starting point of a journey fueled by courage, determination, and resilience.

IPS Anshika was Raised by Grandmother and Uncle

After her parents’ death, Anshika was raised by her grandmother, a teacher, and her uncle. Her grandmother became her anchor, offering love, guidance, and unwavering belief in her potential. She often told Anshika, “You can achieve anything you set your mind to,” instilling the importance of education and hard work from an early age. Her grandmother’s dream was for Anshika to become a civil servant, a goal that became Anshika’s mission in life.

Anshika pursued her B.Com from Ramjas College, Delhi University, and later completed her M.Com. Even while studying, she started preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE), a path that requires intense dedication and discipline. After graduation, she received a lucrative job offer from a leading multinational company, a secure and comfortable option for many. However, Anshika turned it down, choosing to follow her dream and honor her grandmother’s wishes instead.

In 2019, tragedy struck again when Anshika’s grandmother passed away. Losing her primary source of support could have been devastating, but Anshika transformed her grief into determination. She continued preparing for UPSC through self-study, refusing to let setbacks define her future. Her perseverance was tested further as she faced failure in her first four attempts at the exam.

Anshika Jain’s IPS Journey

Despite repeated setbacks, Anshika’s dedication never wavered. On her fifth attempt, she secured an All India Rank of 306 in the UPSC CSE 2022, a remarkable achievement that earned her a place in the Indian Police Service (IPS). Her choice of IPS reflects her strength and resilience, as well as a commitment to serve the nation while carrying forward the vision her grandmother had for her. Today, IPS Anshika Jain stands as a symbol of determination, turning early losses into a story of triumph and inspiration.

Anshika’s story of perseverance extends beyond her professional life. In 2023, she married fellow civil servant Vasu Jain, another officer committed to public service. Their partnership highlights shared values, dedication, and the drive to make a difference in society, reinforcing Anshika’s belief that determination and hard work can shape both personal and professional success.

The journey of IPS Anshika Jain teaches a powerful lesson: our beginnings do not define our endings. Losing her parents and later her grandmother, she could have let circumstances dictate her life. Instead, she turned grief into motivation, failure into learning, and dreams into reality.
