US vlogger Jay’s kind gesture after a chance encounter wins hearts online
An American tourist has captured the internet’s affection after gifting a new bicycle to an Indian boy he met during a livestream. The heartwarming moment, shared by vlogger @jaystreazy (Jay), shows him buying a Rs 24,000 bike for a child named Samarth, whose old bicycle was in poor condition.
The act came after Jay’s livestream viewers urged him to upgrade the boy’s broken cycle. In the video, Jay can be heard asking, “Do you want a new one? Let’s go buy a new one for you.”
The surprised child agreed, and the two visited a nearby bicycle shop where they selected a new bike together.
When Samarth innocently asked why Jay was spending the money, the vlogger explained, “On my livestream, there are a few people who really like you. They saw your old bike and thought you deserve a nicer one.”
Before finalising the purchase, Jay visited the boy’s home to seek his parents’ consent.
Speaking to Samarth’s mother, he said, “I’m a tourist, and your son stopped me while I was filming. My friends watching the livestream wanted to contribute so he could get a new bicycle.”
The video has since garnered over 1.1 lakh views, drawing hundreds of comments praising Jay’s generosity. “You made him so happy. Proud of you Jay,” one user wrote, while another added, “A bicycle for a kid is like a dream come true.”
