Pune: 86-Year-Old Woman Goes Missing, Family Appeals For Help
Pune, October 27, 2025: An 86-year-old woman, identified as Ujwala (Vasanti) Phadke, has been missing from Pune since October 23, 2025 (Thursday). She was last seen around 11 a.m. at Pune Railway Station and is believed to have boarded an unidentified train.
Phadke, who suffers from dementia, was captured on CCTV cameras near Platform Nos. 2 and 3, though it remains uncertain which train she took.
“She might have boarded a train heading towards Mumbai, Gujarat via Vasai, Kolhapur, Solapur, or Miraj. We are requesting people from Maharashtra and neighbouring states to help us find her,” said her nephew, Dr. Rahul Joshi.
A missing person’s report has been filed at Chatushringi Police Station, and a joint search operation involving the Pune Police, Railway Police, Mumbai Police, and the Director General’s Office is currently underway.
The family expressed gratitude to the police officials and IPS officers assisting in the search and appealed to the public to share the information widely across social media platforms and WhatsApp groups to help trace Phadke.
