Little Meera Bhattad stuns everyone by naming 18 states and capitals in just 67 seconds

PUNE — At just two years old, Meera Bhattad from Hadapsar has achieved an extraordinary milestone by entering the India Book of Records for her remarkable memory. Meera named 18 Indian states and their capitals in just one minute and seven seconds, a feat that has left her family, teachers, and the local community astonished.

Her mother, Aishwarya Bhattad-Rathi, shared that Meera’s intelligence and comprehension skills were visible even when she was only seven months old. “By the time she turned one, her imitative nature and quick grasping power were clear. From her 14th month, I began teaching her words and simple facts. Eventually, I introduced her to the states and their capitals, which she learned with great enthusiasm,” Aishwarya said proudly.

Every day, Aishwarya would teach Meera three to four states along with their capitals. Meera would then revise them daily with a smile, turning learning into a joyful routine. Her family soon realized that her memory was exceptional. At just 14 months, she could recite her full name, home address, and even the mobile numbers of her parents and grandfather.

Encouraged by her progress, Aishwarya contacted the India Book of Records, where Meera’s talent was officially recognized. She has since received a certificate and medal honoring her achievement.

The Bhattad family, who reside in Bhosale Nagar, expressed immense pride in their daughter’s accomplishment. “We always knew Meera was special, but seeing her name in the India Book of Records is beyond our dreams,” said her father, adding that the entire family now enjoys interacting and learning with Meera in a playful, encouraging atmosphere.

Meera’s feat has inspired many in the community, proving that curiosity, patience, and gentle guidance can unlock incredible potential — even at the youngest age.
