Rain and Thunderstorms Expected Across Maharashtra; IMD Issues Alert for Konkan, Marathwada, and Western Districts For November 6
Maharashtra, November 5, 2025 — The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rainfall with thunderstorms across several parts of Maharashtra, including Konkan, Marathwada, and Western Maharashtra, over the next 24 hours. The weather pattern observed over the past few days is likely to persist on November 6, with a noticeable drop in temperatures across certain regions.
According to the IMD, light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is expected in parts of Palghar, Thane, Mumbai, and Raigad districts of the Konkan region. Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg may experience moderate rainfall at isolated locations. Mumbai is expected to record a maximum temperature of 34°C and a minimum of 22°C.
In Western Maharashtra, Pune, Kolhapur, Satara, Sangli, Solapur, and the ghat regions may witness cloudy skies and scattered light to moderate showers with thunder. Pune’s temperature is forecasted to hover around 30°C (maximum) and 20°C (minimum).
Marathwada districts including Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Parbhani, Beed, Hingoli, Nanded, Latur, and Dharashiv are also likely to receive light rain with thunder. In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, the maximum temperature is expected to be around 30°C and the minimum around 20°C.
In North Maharashtra, Nashik and Ahmednagar may experience light rain and a significant drop in temperature — Nashik’s mercury could dip to 17°C. However, Dhule, Nandurbar, and Jalgaon are expected to remain dry.
Vidarbha, including Akola, Amravati, Buldhana, Nagpur, Chandrapur, Wardha, Gadchiroli, Gondia, Washim, and Yavatmal, will likely see dry weather with Nagpur recording temperatures around 31°C (maximum) and 19°C (minimum).
Weather experts have advised farmers to remain alert and take necessary precautions to protect standing crops from the changing weather. Morning and night-time chill is also expected to intensify in several areas over the next few days.
