Khed, Pune – A terrifying incident was caught on CCTV in Kalewadi village, where a young boy narrowly escaped a leopard attack while playing on a swing in his house courtyard. The leopard reportedly entered the compound while chasing a dog, creating panic in the area.

According to reports, the child was playing on a swing when the leopard suddenly leapt into the courtyard. Showing remarkable presence of mind, the boy quickly ran inside the house. Startled by the family’s screams, the leopard fled the spot.

This shocking incident comes just days after a 14-year-old boy, Rohan Bombe, was killed in a leopard attack in Pimparkhed village of Shirur taluka. The back-to-back cases have sparked fear among residents in the region.

CCTV footage clearly shows the leopard’s swift movement within the compound. Following the latest attack, villagers have demanded immediate action from the Forest Department to prevent further incidents.

Meanwhile, forest officials recently managed to neutralize a leopard responsible for attacks in the Shirur–Pimparkhed area. Using thermal drones, they located the animal about 400 to 500 meters from the earlier attack site. Attempts to tranquilize it failed, and when the agitated leopard charged at the team, a sharpshooter was forced to open fire, killing it on the spot.
