Pune: Traffic Diversion Announced At Swargate As Underpass Repair Work Begins From November 7 To 10
Pune, November 7, 2025: The Pune City Traffic Police have announced traffic diversions near the Keshavrao Jagtap Chowk underpass at Swargate due to repair and maintenance work scheduled between November 7 at 11:00 p.m. and November 10 at 7:00 a.m.
According to a press release issued by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Himmat Jadhav, the repairs will temporarily affect vehicular movement through the Swargate underpass. To ensure smooth and safe traffic flow during this period, alternative routes have been arranged.
As per the notification, vehicles heading from Keshavrao Jedhe Chowk towards Sarasbaug via the underpass will need to take the Anna Bhau Sathe Road (via Anna Bhau Sathe Statue) to reach their desired destination instead.
The traffic diversion is implemented under the powers granted by Sections 115, 116(1)(A)(B), 116(4), and 117 of the Motor Vehicles Act.
