Pune Coldwave Intensifies: Shivajinagar Drops To 9.4°C, City Records Season’s First Single-Digit Temperature
Pune, November 18, 2025: The coldwave sweeping across Maharashtra tightened its grip on Tuesday (November 18), pushing Pune into its first single-digit minimum temperature of the season. Pashan emerged as the coldest locality in the city, recording a sharp dip to 9°C, signalling the chilliest morning so far this winter.
Shivajinagar also witnessed a significant drop, with temperatures falling to 9.4°C, well below the seasonal average, adding to the citywide coldwave conditions.
Pune had already experienced a chilly morning on Sunday when temperatures fell to 10.6°C. According to IMD data, Pashan recorded 10.1°C on Sunday, while Haveli and Malin entered single-digit territory with 8.6°C and 9.9°C respectively.

Temperatures recorded in other areas were as follows: Baramati 8.9°C, Talegaon 9.9°C, Daund 9.9°C, Malin 9.2°C, Haveli 6.9°C, Lavale 14°C, Chinchwad 14.5°C, Pashan 9°C, Ambegaon 10.7°C.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a slight rise in night temperatures after November 18. Pune is expected to see minimum temperatures stabilising around 13–14°C, while daytime temperatures are likely to hover near 30°C in the coming days.
