Pimpri, November 19, 2025: Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Commissioner Shravvan Hardikar has instructed officials to intensify voter awareness initiatives and strengthen the grievance redressal mechanism ahead of the upcoming civic elections. He also reviewed key preparations including finalising polling station locations, appointing election cell officers, ensuring facilities at polling booths, arrangements for the differently abled, training of polling staff, securing EVMs, updating the voter list, fixing essential infrastructure in various wards, and incorporating necessary changes in the draft voter list.

Commissioner Hardikar conducted an extensive review of both routine municipal operations and preparations for the forthcoming general and civic elections.

Additional Commissioners Pradeep Jambhale Patil, Vijaykumar Khorate, Tripti Sandbhor, Assistant Commissioner Manoj Lonkar, Municipal Secretary Mukesh Kolpe, Chief Auditor Pramod Bhosale, Chief Accounts and Finance Officer Praveen Jain, Chief Engineer Sanjay Kulkarni, City Engineer Makrand Nikam, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Laxman Gofane, and several other senior officials from various departments were present.

During the meeting, the Commissioner first reviewed the status of essential civic services including cleanliness, road maintenance, pothole repair drives, and development projects under the city’s master plan. He also discussed the ongoing campaign to remove illegal hoardings, the condition of street lighting, water supply, and drainage systems, instructing officials to take necessary corrective action wherever required.

Reports from all administrative branches regarding election preparedness were submitted. Commissioner Hardikar directed officials to strengthen the control room to ensure swift response to public complaints. He emphasised coordinated efforts across all departments to expedite pending works and instructed them to focus on improving basic amenities and service efficiency.

All wards have been directed to launch a special drive to remove illegal hoardings immediately. He further instructed officials to take prompt action against structures posing public safety risks or obstructing traffic, and to maintain updated records of authorised hoardings while improving coordination with the revenue department.
