Tragic ST Bus Accident in Sinnar Claims Life of 9-Year-Old, Several Injured; CCTV Footage Reveals Chaos
Chaos erupted at the Sinnar bus terminal in Nashik when a Maharashtra State Transport (ST) bus lost control and drove directly onto the platform, injuring multiple passengers and killing a nine-year-old boy. The incident, captured on CCTV, has raised concerns about vehicle maintenance and safety at bus terminals. The bus was scheduled to travel from Sinnar to Devpur.
Reports indicate that the accident occurred between 10:30 and 11:00 a.m. while the bus was being positioned at platform number six. Eyewitnesses revealed that the vehicle, reportedly in poor condition, experienced brake failure. The bus then surged onto the platform, striking four to five people, before rolling back slightly and stopping. Among the victims, three people were injured, and the child, identified as Adarsh Borade from Dapur village in Sinnar taluka, tragically lost his life.
Following the incident, Sinnar police, ambulances, and officials including Uday Sangle, Pramod Chothave, the Sinnar Tehsildar, and the Naib Tehsildar arrived at the scene. The injured were taken to private hospitals, and authorities closely monitored the condition of the seriously injured child, arranging his transfer to Nashik. Unfortunately, Adarsh Borade passed away before reaching the hospital.
Local passengers and residents expressed outrage at the accident. Uday Sangle and his team began an inquiry, obtaining CCTV footage that clearly revealed the severity of the incident and highlighted the bus’s poor maintenance. Criticism was also directed at the ST Corporation and local administration for the perceived delay in response and lack of urgent action.

Relatives of Adarsh Borade, accompanied by Uday Sangle, protested and demanded justice from the police and the ST Corporation. A roadblock was staged outside the Sinnar bus terminal on the Nashik-Pune highway with the child’s body. The Sinnar police acted quickly, restoring one-way traffic within a minute and clearing a path for ambulances. With mediation by Sinnar Police Inspector Hemant Kumar Bhamre, a discussion between officials and the agitated crowd was conducted within two minutes, preventing escalation.
