Engine options at launch include a 1.5-litre turbo petrol and a 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel, both with manual and automatic gearboxes. An electric version will follow later, expected to offer over 500 km of range. Prices are likely to start around ₹11 lakh ex-showroom, and bookings have already begun at some dealerships.

2. Kia Seltos

Kia will unveil the second-generation Seltos globally on 10th December. The new model comes with updated styling, split LED headlamps, dual-tone alloy wheels, and a redesigned interior with updated tech. The Indian launch is expected soon after the global reveal. Petrol-hybrid options may be introduced alongside existing engines to improve performance and fuel efficiency.

3. Maruti Suzuki e‑Vitara

Maruti Suzuki will launch its first electric SUV, the e‑Vitara, on 2nd December through NEXA outlets. It will have two battery options: a 49 kWh pack with around 344 km range and a 61 kWh pack with over 500 km. The initial launch will focus on the 61 kWh FWD variant.

Inside, the SUV has dual integrated screens, ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, and premium finishes. Safety features include six airbags, a 360° camera, and Level-2 ADAS systems. The 61 kWh variant is expected to start around ₹25 lakh, and the smaller battery version near ₹20 lakh.

4. Tata Harrier & Safari Petrol Variants

Tata will expand the Harrier and Safari lineup with petrol engines, launching both on 9th December. They are powered by the 1.5-litre Turbo GDI “Hyperion” engine, delivering around 170 hp and 280 Nm of torque. Both manual and automatic gearboxes are expected.

These petrol variants target urban buyers who want quieter, low-maintenance engines without losing SUV performance. This launch gives customers more options in the mid-size SUV segment.

The November–December launch season is set to be significant for Indian car buyers. From Tata’s Sierra and petrol Harrier/Safari to Maruti’s first electric SUV and Kia’s Seltos, there are more choices than ever. These launches reflect a growing shift toward electric and hybrid mobility in India. For anyone planning a new car purchase, these weeks could define your next ride. Whether you prioritize style, technology, or sustainability, the upcoming options are worth watching.
