Pune, November 24, 2025: Even as the tragic memory of the recent container accident at Navale Bridge—where eight people were charred to death—remains fresh, accidents in the area continue unabated. A new video has surfaced showing yet another mishap early Monday morning. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in this incident.
According to information received, a car travelling from Pune towards Bengaluru crashed into a road divider at dawn, briefly disrupting traffic. However, due to low vehicle movement on the highway at that hour, a major disaster was avoided. Preliminary details suggest that the car driver was under the influence of alcohol.
Police arrived at the spot soon after and have initiated further investigation. The video shows significant damage to the vehicle.
The Navale Bridge stretch has become notorious for recurring accidents. On November 13, a speeding container met with a horrific accident near the bridge, leading to a massive fire that killed eight people on the spot. The recently released RTO report has revealed alarming details about the cause.
As per the primary RTO investigation, the container driver may have kept the vehicle in neutral, and excessive speed caused him to lose control, resulting in the fatal crash. The preliminary report concludes that the accident occurred due to human error.
