PMPML stated that the BRT lane enables quicker and congestion-free travel, helping passengers save time while also reducing traffic congestion and accident risks. Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad municipal corporations have jointly developed these dedicated lanes to streamline public transport movement.

PCMC has completed the development of the BRT stretch between Nigdi Transport Nagar and Mukai Chowk. Following instructions from the Municipal Commissioner, PMPML initiated bus operations on this corridor starting November 22, 2025. As the number of passengers increases, the fleet operating on this route will be expanded accordingly, PMPML Chairman and Managing Director Pankaj Deore said.

PMPML has appealed to passengers, students, women, workers and daily commuters to take advantage of the newly launched services. The transport authority also urged citizens not to use private vehicles inside the dedicated BRT lanes.
