Pune: 55-Year-Old Biker Run Over By Truck, Dies On The Spot In Accident On Katraj Pisoli Road
Pune, December 2, 2025: A 55-year-old two-wheeler rider was killed in a horrific accident on the Katraj–Pisoli stretch near Mohan Marble store on Tuesday morning, after a truck ran over him following a collision.
The deceased has been identified as Dattatray Murlidhar Bhapkar, a resident of Swayambhu Niwas, Lane No. 7, Bhekrai Nagar, Pune. He was travelling on a Honda Activa along with Bharat Suresh Kondhare, a resident of Kondhwa, when the accident occurred.
According to the preliminary police report, the duo was riding from Katraj when a truck approached from behind. The truck allegedly struck their scooter, causing Bhapkar to fall onto the road. The vehicle’s rear left wheel ran over his head and shoulder, killing him instantly.
Police officials have initiated further legal procedures. An ambulance (I-Van) was also called to the site for necessary formalities.
The Kondhwa Police are investigating the case to determine the exact cause. Further updates are awaited.
