Realme is set to launch the Realme 16 Pro in India on January 6, 2026. Positioned just below the Pro+ variant, the upcoming smartphone aims to bring flagship-level features to a more affordable price segment. The company has confirmed that the Realme 16 Pro will share the same advanced camera system as the Pro+ model, along with significant upgrades in battery capacity, display quality and overall performance.

The Realme 16 Pro introduces a 200MP LumaColor camera system to the Pro lineup. Based on Samsung’s HP5 sensor, the camera supports Super OIS and full-pixel auto zoom, offering 1x, 2x and 4x lossless zoom. Certified by TÜV Rheinland for colour accuracy, the setup is powered by Realme’s HyperRAW algorithm, which enhances dynamic range, particularly in low-light conditions and group photography.

For portrait photography, the smartphone features a five focal length system with 1x, 1.5x, 2x, 3.5x and 4x options. A new Vibe Master Mode offers 21 preset portrait tones, while AI Edit Genie allows users to modify backgrounds and hairstyles without affecting facial details.

On the video front, the Realme 16 Pro supports 4K HDR recording at 1x and 2x zoom. The MainTrack algorithm enables subject tracking for stable footage, and AI Instant Clip provides automated video templates for content creation.

The device is powered by a 7000mAh Titan Battery designed for extended usage. It includes Super Power Saving Mode, bypass charging to control heat during heavy tasks, and an AI-based battery management chip to improve long-term battery health.

The smartphone features a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 6500 nits. Under the hood, it is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Max 5G processor, which reportedly scores over 9.7 lakh on AnTuTu. Thermal management is handled by an AirFlow VC cooling system.

Running on Realme UI 7.0, the device introduces the Flux Engine and the NEXT AI suite, which includes features such as AI Framing Master, AI Recording and Google Gemini integration.

In terms of design, the Realme 16 Pro continues Realme’s collaboration with renowned industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa. It will be available in Master Gold, Pebble Grey and Orchid Purple colour options, features a skin-friendly textured finish, and comes with an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.

Pricing and availability details will be revealed at the launch event on January 6.
