How the 1033 Emergency Helpline Helps
After dialing 1033, the control center identifies your real-time location. The operator will ask for basic details such as your vehicle number and the issue you are facing. Based on this information, the nearest highway patrolling unit or rescue team is immediately dispatched to your location.
If your problem is fuel-related, up to five litres of petrol or diesel can be delivered directly to your vehicle. You only pay for the fuel provided—there are no additional service charges. In cases where the vehicle refuses to start, mechanical assistance or towing support is also arranged.
The helpline is equally effective during serious situations. If there’s an accident or medical emergency, ambulances and local police are alerted without delay. To ensure travelers are always aware of this service, signboards displaying the 1033 helpline number are installed every few kilometers along National Highways.
