Maharashtra | January 25: Maharashtra is likely to witness noticeable weather changes on Republic Day as shifting wind patterns over the last 24 hours have triggered a rain alert in parts of the state, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Over the past few days, the state has experienced fluctuating weather conditions. Persistent cloud cover has led to morning fog in several regions, followed by intense afternoon heat. With rising temperatures, the severity of winter has eased, and minimum temperatures across Maharashtra are now being recorded above 10 degrees Celsius.

Rain Likely in North Maharashtra

As per IMD forecasts, parts of North Maharashtra may receive light rainfall on January 26. Nashik district, in particular, is expected to remain cloudy throughout the day, with chances of light showers in isolated areas. The maximum temperature here is likely to hover around 27°C, while the minimum may settle near 15°C.

In Western Maharashtra, including Pune city, early morning fog is likely, followed by dry weather for the rest of the day. Temperatures may range between 14°C and 30°C, with mild cold in the morning and warmer conditions by afternoon.

Marathwada and Vidarbha Outlook

Marathwada may experience morning fog and partly cloudy skies later in the day. Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar is expected to record a maximum temperature of around 29°C and a minimum of 16°C.
In Vidarbha, clear weather is likely in the morning, turning cloudy by afternoon. Nagpur may see temperatures ranging from 14°C to 30°C.
