Pune, January 25, 2026: Residents of Prabhag 41, comprising Mohammadwadi and Undri areas, participated in a significant civic interaction as the Mohammadwadi Undri Residents Welfare Development Foundation (MURWDF) and Pune Pulse jointly organised a Meet & Greet programme at Nyati Enclave on January 25, 2026. The meeting marked the first formal interaction between residents and the newly elected corporators of the ward, offering a platform to discuss long-pending civic issues and future development plans.

The organisers thanked the Nyati Enclave management committee Chairman Hemang Mehta and the staff for hosting and supporting the event.

Newly elected corporators Prachi Alhat, Atul Tarawade and Nivrutti Bandal were present at the meeting, while corporator Shweta Sachin Ghule was unable to attend due to prior commitments. The event witnessed active participation from local residents, housing societies and citizen representatives, reflecting the growing demand for focused development in the area.

During the meeting, the corporators acknowledged that Mohammadwadi and Undri had faced years of neglect and assured residents that they would work collectively to accelerate development in Prabhag 41. They committed to addressing civic concerns in a structured manner by organising Janata Darbars every three months. In addition, they assured residents that dedicated meetings would be held with department heads of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and other relevant administrative authorities to ensure coordination and timely resolution of issues.

Residents raised concerns related to water shortages, deteriorating road conditions, traffic congestion, safety, and the lack of basic civic amenities—problems that have persisted for more than a decade. Speakers from MURWDF emphasised that the meeting was not merely a discussion forum but an opportunity for citizens to actively shape the future of their locality.

Organisers highlighted the importance of unity and public participation, stating that strong citizen involvement is key to sustainable development. The Meet & Greet was described as the beginning of a constructive dialogue between elected representatives and residents.

The MURWDF team appealed to citizens to continue engaging with civic authorities, stressing that collective effort, accountability and regular interaction are essential to transforming Mohammadwadi and Undri into well-planned, liveable neighbourhoods.
