Mumbai: After a successful run in theatres, Border 2 is now set to make its OTT debut. The patriotic war drama starring Sunny Deol will begin streaming on Netflix from March 20, 2026.

Released in cinemas on January 23, 2026, Border 2 received a strong response from audiences across the country. The film crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in its opening weekend and went on to earn over Rs 350 crore within days, making it one of the biggest hits of the year.

Border 2 is the sequel to the 1997 blockbuster Border. The story is inspired by the Battle of Basantar during the 1971 India-Pakistan war. Sunny Deol reprises his powerful role, while Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh play soldiers from the younger generation. Ahan Shetty also appears in an important role.

The film is directed by Anurag Singh and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Dutta and Nidhi Dutta. Viewers praised the film for its emotional storytelling, powerful dialogues, background score and intense war sequences. In many theatres, scenes were welcomed with applause and cheers.

The film earned Rs 224.25 crore in its first week. It collected Rs 10.75 crore on day eight, Rs 17.75 crore on day nine and Rs 22.50 crore on day ten. On days eleven and twelve, it earned Rs 5.75 crore each, while collections dropped to Rs 4 crore on day thirteen.

Netflix has acquired the digital streaming rights of Border 2. The makers decided to release the film on OTT nearly eight weeks after its theatrical release, considering its strong box office performance.
