Maharashtra: Weather conditions across Maharashtra continue to shift, with temperatures rising steadily in February. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), February 14 is expected to remain largely dry across the state, with heat and humidity intensifying in several regions. No rainfall has been forecast.

Konkan: Hot and Humid Alert

In the Konkan belt, including Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg, weather is expected to remain hot and humid. Mumbai’s maximum temperature is likely to hover between 29–30°C, while the minimum may stay around 24–25°C.

The IMD has issued a “hot and humid” advisory for Konkan and Goa on February 14 and 15. Light morning haze is possible, and moderate to strong sea breezes along coastal areas may increase discomfort levels during the day.

Pune and Western Maharashtra: Warm Afternoons Ahead

Cities such as Pune, Satara, Sangli and Kolhapur are expected to experience pleasant mornings followed by warmer afternoons. Pune’s maximum temperature may reach 31–32°C, with minimum temperatures between 15–17°C.

Kolhapur and Sangli could see mercury levels touching 32°C. Skies are likely to remain mostly clear, creating favourable conditions for rabi crops.

North Maharashtra: Rising Day Temperatures

In north Maharashtra, including Nashik, Dhule, Jalgaon and Nandurbar, days are expected to be warm while nights may remain relatively cool. Nashik could record maximum temperatures of 30–32°C and minimums between 15–18°C. In parts of Khandesh, temperatures may climb to 32–34°C. Light haze is possible in isolated areas, but rainfall is unlikely.

Marathwada: Dry and Sunny

Districts such as Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Beed, Parbhani, Latur and Nanded are likely to witness dry weather with bright sunshine. Maximum temperatures may range between 31–33°C, while minimum temperatures could remain between 16–19°C. Mild morning haze is possible, but clear skies will dominate through the day.

Vidarbha: Highest Heat Levels

The Vidarbha region, including Nagpur, Amravati, Chandrapur and Gadchiroli, is expected to record the highest temperatures in the state. Daytime highs may range between 32–34°C, with minimum temperatures around 18–22°C. Dry winds will prevail, and no rainfall is predicted. Heat levels are likely to intensify in the afternoon, though nights may offer slight relief.

Outlook and Advisory

Overall, Maharashtra will remain dry on February 14, with heat and humidity increasing across regions. The IMD has indicated that temperatures may rise by another 2–3°C over the coming days.

Residents are advised to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and take precautions against heat-related discomfort. Farmers are encouraged to ensure adequate irrigation for standing crops as daytime temperatures continue to climb.
