Worker Trapped During Metro Work in Hinjewadi; Massive Traffic Jam Hits IT Hub
Pune: Heavy traffic congestion was reported in the Hinjewadi area of Pune after an accident occurred during ongoing metro construction work. The incident took place beneath a metro station site, where a worker reportedly got trapped in a crane while work was in progress.
Rescue operations are currently underway, with metro authorities and local administration working on a war footing to safely extricate the trapped worker. Emergency teams have been deployed at the site.
As a precautionary measure, traffic passing beneath the metro station has been diverted through alternate routes. Due to these changes, vehicular movement in and around the Hinjewadi IT hub is expected to remain slow for the next few hours.
