Actors Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna have officially confirmed their marriage, putting years of speculation to rest. The couple revealed that their upcoming wedding will be called “The Wedding of VIROSH” — a name lovingly coined by fans by blending their names.
In a heartfelt note shared on social media, the duo wrote:
“Our Dearest loves, Before we made any plans, before we chose anything for ourselves – you were already there. With so much love, you gave us a name. You called us ‘VIROSH’. So today – with full hearts, we name our coming together in your honour. We would like to name it – ‘The Wedding of VIROSH’. Thank you for holding us with so much love. You are a part of us – always. The announcement comes after nearly eight years of dating rumours. Though the two had consistently described each other as “good friends,” fans often speculated about their relationship through shared holiday pictures and public appearances.
Wedding Date And Venue
The couple is set to marry on February 26, 2026, in Udaipur. According to reports, the ceremony will be held at a heritage palace on the outskirts of the city and is expected to be an intimate affair attended by close family and select guests.
Sources suggest the likely venue could be The Mementos by ITC Hotels, a luxury property nestled in the Aravalli range. Other possible venues reportedly considered include Raffles Udaipur and Fairmont Udaipur Palace.
Interestingly, industry colleagues from Telugu and Hindi cinema are reportedly not invited to the main ceremony. However, two separate receptions are expected to follow, one in Hyderabad and another in Mumbai.
Pre-Wedding Celebrations
Pre-wedding functions are scheduled to begin on February 24. The sangeet and mehendi ceremonies will take place on February 24, followed by the haldi ceremony on February 25. The wedding will be solemnised on February 26.
