Shiv Jayanti 2026 was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Park Royale Society in Rahatani, Pimple Saudagar, with vibrant participation from residents, especially children, aimed at spreading awareness about the life, values, and legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
The celebrations featured a series of educational and cultural competitions, including quizzes, poster-making, drawing, presentations, singing, and group performances. These activities highlighted Shivaji Maharaj’s leadership, courage, governance principles, and commitment to justice and equality.
Chief guest Balaji Dhanve addressed the gathering and spoke about Shivaji Maharaj’s ideals, with special emphasis on his respect for women and children and his people-centric administration. Participants and winners of various competitions were felicitated for their performances and contributions.
The programme was organised by society volunteers under the leadership of Dr. Ashwini S. Shinde, Mrs. Madhavi D. Mote, Mrs. Leena S. Boga, and Mrs. Priti A. Ingle, with active support from the society’s managing committee.
Residents said the celebration helped instill cultural pride and historical awareness among children. “Such initiatives play an important role in connecting the younger generation with our heritage and values,” members of the society noted.
