In the semi-final against the England national cricket team, he smashed an explosive 89 runs off 42 balls to guide India to a big total. He carried that form into the final against New Zealand, scoring another remarkable 89 runs from 46 balls. The knock became the highest individual score by an Indian batter in a T20 World Cup final. Jasprit Bumrah’s Crucial Spell

Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah once again demonstrated why he is regarded as one of the most dangerous bowlers in world cricket. During the semi-final, where runs flowed freely, Bumrah kept things tight by conceding just 33 runs in his four overs while picking up a wicket.

In the final, his performance proved decisive. As New Zealand attempted to accelerate, Bumrah dismissed key batter Rachin Ravindra, shifting the momentum firmly in India’s favour. He finished with impressive figures of 4 wickets for 15 runs in four overs. Bumrah ended the tournament with 14 wickets, sharing the top spot among wicket-takers with Varun Chakravarthy.

Ishan Kishan’s Aggressive Batting

Another major contributor to India’s title run was Ishan Kishan, whose return to the team proved highly effective. In the semi-final, Kishan scored a rapid 39 runs off just 18 balls while partnering Samson.

In the final, batting at number three, he delivered another explosive innings, scoring 54 runs from only 25 balls. Kishan also contributed in the field with two excellent catches, ending the tournament with 317 runs and finishing as the fourth-highest run-scorer.

Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya’s All-Round Impact

All-round performances also strengthened India’s campaign. Spinner Axar Patel proved to be one of captain Suryakumar Yadav’s most reliable players. In the semi-final, his two outstanding catches drew widespread praise. In the final, he struck early by dismissing dangerous New Zealand batters such as Finn Allen and Glenn Phillips during the powerplay. Patel claimed 11 wickets in seven matches during the tournament.

Meanwhile, all-rounder Hardik Pandya played an important role with both bat and ball. From hitting a crucial six in the final over of the semi-final to push India past the 250-run mark to taking important wickets in the final, Pandya’s contributions proved valuable.

Shivam Dube’s Explosive Finish

Middle-order batter Shivam Dube added the finishing touch to India’s strong batting line-up. In the semi-final, he scored 43 runs from 25 balls, but his most impactful innings came in the final.
