Panic spread in a residential society in the Dighi area of Pimpri-Chinchwad after a frightening incident involving an infant and a lift door. The episode has once again raised concerns about how risky lifts can be for small children when proper caution is not taken.

The incident took place inside a housing society where a woman was travelling in a lift with her infant daughter, who was only a few months old. After the lift reached the desired floor, the doors opened briefly and then began to close again.During that moment, the child had innocently placed her tiny hand on the lift door. As the doors started sliding shut, her hand got caught in the narrow gap of the door panel.

The sudden situation left the woman in the lift and nearby residents extremely worried. The baby began crying in pain, prompting people around to rush in and try to help. Several attempts were made to carefully release the child’s hand from the door without causing further harm. After a few tense minutes, those present finally managed to free the infant’s hand, bringing immense relief to everyone and preventing a serious accident. The incident occurred on March 7 and was captured on the society’s CCTV camera. Footage of the moment has now spread widely on social media, drawing attention and concern from many viewers.
