The popular Marathi show ‘Paru’ was suddenly taken off air without a proper ending, leaving viewers shocked and the lead actress issuing an apology.
A Marathi television serial has left its audience surprised after ending abruptly without airing its final episode. The show ‘Paru’, which had been running since February 2024, stopped telecasting after its February 10, 2026 episode, with no official finale aired.
For weeks, viewers were left confused and waiting for closure, as there was no announcement or proper conclusion to the storyline. Unlike most shows that inform audiences in advance about their last episode, ‘Paru’ ended without any such notice.
Amid growing curiosity and questions from fans, lead actress Sharyu Sonawane finally addressed the issue through a video shared on social media.
She said, “After a long wait, after waiting a long time, I am finally making this video for my audience. Because for the last few days, I have been receiving many messages and calls. People are asking why the Paru series was suddenly stopped.”
The actress revealed that even the cast was not informed in advance about the show being shut down. She said the last episode aired on February 10, and after that, no further episodes were released.
She added, “The producers did not give us the idea that Paru series was completely closed. Till date, no series in the Marathi industry has ended like Paru series. Due to some technical difficulties and production issues, we could not release the last episode of Paru series.”
Apologising to viewers, she said, “You were with me in every joy and sorrow of Paru. For that, I will always be indebted to you. I apologize to you for not showing the last episode of the series.”
Despite the abrupt ending, the actress assured fans that the bond with the audience remains strong and hinted at returning in a new role in the future.
The sudden closure of ‘Paru’ has sparked discussion among viewers, raising questions about production challenges and the lack of communication in the television industry when shows are discontinued.
