Marathwada districts such as Beed, Nanded, Latur, and Dharashiv may also witness thunderstorms with gusty winds and moderate rainfall. Authorities have urged farmers to safeguard crops and agricultural equipment.
Although no official alert has been issued for Pune, Ahilyanagar, and Hingoli, light to moderate rainfall is expected. Pune is likely to record maximum temperatures between 37°C and 38°C, with humid conditions due to cloudy skies.
In contrast, Vidarbha regions including Nagpur, Akola, Amravati, and Chandrapur will continue to experience hot and dry weather, with temperatures soaring up to 42°C.
The IMD has advised citizens to avoid stepping out during peak afternoon hours, stay hydrated, and take extra precautions for children and senior citizens amid rising temperatures.
