Pune, May 27: A total of 12,51,294 students across Maharashtra have registered for the first regular round of Class 11 admissions till Tuesday, according to the School Education and Higher Secondary Education Department. The first selection list and cut-off marks will be announced on Friday, May 29.

The state government is conducting a centralized online admission process for Class 11 admissions in junior colleges across Maharashtra. Due to technical issues on the admission portal during the first round, the deadline to fill Part 2 of the application form had earlier been extended till Monday.

However, following directions issued by the Aurangabad bench of the Bombay High Court in connection with a petition, the department further extended the registration deadline till 6 am on Tuesday.

Out of the total registered students, 6,18,369 are boys and 6,16,345 are girls. So far, 1,58,849 students have paid the admission fees, while 1,11,809 students have locked Part 1 of their application forms.

Admission Process Schedule

* First regular round allotment process: Till May 28

* Release of selection list, cut-off list, and SMS notifications to students: May 29

* Confirmation of admission at allotted colleges, cancellation or rejection of admission: May 29 to June 3

* Announcement of second round schedule: June 5

* Publication of vacant seats details: June 6
