Pune, June 8, 2026: The Forum for IT Employees and Freshers (FITE) Maharashtra has called for the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate a series of alleged recruitment scams that have reportedly duped thousands of engineering and IT graduates across the state.

The demand comes as police continue to investigate multiple cases involving alleged job frauds, including a recent case registered in Pimpri-Chinchwad. According to FITE, a growing number of unemployed graduates have been targeted by fraudulent consultancies and companies promising jobs in exchange for money.

Speaking on the matter, Pimpri-Chinchwad Deputy Commissioner of Police Pradip Jadhav said that a case has been registered at Hinjewadi Police Station against the owner of Thynk Tech India following complaints from job seekers who allegedly fell victim to the scam. One accused has been arrested, while police teams are searching for three other suspects believed to be involved in the case.

Jadhav urged candidates seeking employment opportunities to remain cautious and immediately report any suspected recruitment fraud to the nearest police station. He emphasized that prompt reporting can help authorities take swift action and prevent more people from being deceived.

In a letter submitted to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on June 5, FITE alleged that several fake recruitment agencies and IT firms have been collecting money from job aspirants under the false promise of providing employment. The organization claimed that the recurring nature of such incidents suggests the existence of a larger network operating across Maharashtra.

FITE Maharashtra President Pavanjeet Mane stated that several companies and consultancies have come under scrutiny in recent months, including Flynaut SaaS, Accure Tech, Thynk Tech, Quantamsoft, Radiant Technology, Gtasterix, and Kavya Tech. According to the organization, these cases alone may have impacted more than 4,000 freshers, while the overall number of victims across the state could exceed 10,000.

The organization has urged the state government to conduct a comprehensive investigation to identify those responsible, recover losses suffered by job seekers, and strengthen safeguards against fraudulent recruitment practices.
