Pune News: Water Supply To Remain Suspended In Vishrantwadi, Viman Nagar And Nearby Areas On June 18
Pune, June 16, 2026: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced a complete shutdown of water supply in several parts of the city on June 18, 2026, due to the relocation of a major water pipeline that is obstructing the construction of the proposed grade separator/flyover at Vishrantwadi Chowk.
According to a press note issued by the PMC Water Supply Department, a 600 mm diameter water pipeline will be shifted on Thursday, June 18, as part of the infrastructure work being undertaken by the PMC Project Department.

As a result, water supply will remain completely suspended in the following areas:
- Ganesh Nagar
- Kalas
- Mhaske Vasti
- Jadhav Vasti
- Malwadi
- Wadarwadi
- Sanjay Park
- Vargashil
- Parts of Viman Nagar
- Portions of Airport Road in Vishrantwadi
- Shri Park and Parashar Society on Nagar Road
- Other adjoining localities
PMC officials stated that regular water supply will continue in these areas on June 17 and June 19, 2026. Thereafter, from June 20, 2026, water distribution will resume according to the existing alternate-day (odd-even date) supply schedule.
The civic body has appealed to residents in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in advance and cooperate during the execution of the essential infrastructure work.
The announcement was issued by Virendra Kelkar, Acting Superintending Engineer, Cantonment Water Supply Department, Pune Municipal Corporation.
