Pimpri-Chinchwad, June 21, 2026: The investigation into a case registered against Sharad Subhash Bhosale, director of Swaraj Police Recruitment Training Centre in Valhekarwadi, is currently underway and no arrest has been made so far, according to Senior Police Inspector Datta Chaskar of Chinchwad Police Station.

Speaking to the media, Chaskar said the incident occurred on June 16 when Bhosale was travelling on a motorcycle and allegedly got into an altercation with occupants of a car after a near-miss on the road. According to police, the car occupants advised Bhosale to ride cautiously to avoid an accident, which reportedly led to a verbal argument between the two parties.

Police investigations indicate that following the dispute, Bhosale allegedly called some students from his police recruitment training academy to the spot. A scuffle subsequently broke out between the two groups, with allegations of pushing, assault and physical confrontation. Based on the complaint, a case has been registered at Chinchwad Police Station.

Several videos related to the incident have since gone viral on social media. Responding to questions about the footage, Chaskar said the videos would be examined and appropriate legal action would be taken if necessary.

The senior police inspector was also asked about allegations that defamatory content and videos targeting the police were being circulated on social media. He stated that he had not yet reviewed the material and that any allegations would be verified before further inquiry is initiated.

Addressing concerns regarding the credibility of police recruitment training institutes, Chaskar urged parents and aspiring candidates to exercise caution before enrolling in any academy.

“Before taking admission in any police recruitment or training academy, it is important to verify the credentials of the trainers, their background and the quality of training being offered. Parents should choose institutions that have a positive reputation and a proven track record,” he said.

Chaskar further clarified that Bhosale has not been arrested in connection with the case. Police attempted to serve him a notice, but he allegedly refused to accept it. Further legal procedures are underway and the investigation remains in progress, he added.
