Pune, 13 July 2026: The Petrol Dealers Association Pune (PDAP) has expressed its sincere gratitude to the Pune City Police, particularly the Traffic Police Department, for their outstanding planning, coordination, and execution of traffic management during the Ashadhi Palkhi 2026.
PDAP President Dhruv Ruparel appreciated Dr. Sandip Bhajibhakare, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Pune City, and the entire Traffic Police team for their meticulous date-wise planning of petroleum tanker movement, timely guidance, and seamless coordination throughout the Palkhi period. Their efforts ensured the uninterrupted supply of petrol and diesel across Pune despite extensive traffic diversions and road closures, while also maintaining smooth traffic flow and ensuring the safe passage of lakhs of Warkaris.

The Association also conveyed its special thanks to Manoj Patil, Additional Commissioner of Police, Pune City, for taking the time to personally meet the representatives of PDAP, understanding the challenges faced by petrol dealers during the Palkhi period, and extending valuable support in resolving operational issues. His prompt intervention and positive approach greatly contributed to ensuring the smooth movement of essential petroleum supplies.
PDAP also thanked Amitesh Kumar, Commissioner of Police, Pune City, for the excellent leadership and guidance provided to the entire police force during the Ashadhi Wari.

Speaking on the occasion, Dhruv Ruparel, President, Petrol Dealers Association Pune, said, “The exemplary coordination between Pune City Police and the petroleum industry ensured that essential fuel supplies remained uninterrupted while respecting the sanctity of the Ashadhi Wari.
