Pune, July 14, 2026: In a major relief for residents, Pune Mayor Manjusha Nagpure has directed the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) administration to cancel the proposed water cut in the city until July 22, 2026.

The decision was taken after reviewing the current water availability in the dams supplying water to Pune and the overall water situation. As a result, citizens will continue to receive regular water supply until July 22.

Speaking about the decision, Mayor Nagpure said that the civic administration will review the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) rainfall forecast after July 22, along with the available dam storage, water inflow, and the overall water situation before taking any further decision on water supply. She said that the interests of Pune residents would remain the top priority and that future decisions would be based on the prevailing situation.
