MHADA Pune Reopens Applications for 634 Tathawade Flats, Lottery Scheduled for August 25
20 July, 2026: The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has reopened applications for 634 unsold flats in its Tathawade housing project in Pune. The computerized lottery for these homes will be held on August 25, while the application and document verification process begins on July 20.
The move comes after the second phase of the project received a limited response in the previous lottery, leaving a large number of flats unsold. In contrast, the first phase of the development saw successful allotment of more than 600 homes.
To attract more buyers, MHADA Pune Board has revised the eligibility criteria by allowing applicants from all income groups, including the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Low Income Group (LIG), Middle Income Group (MIG), and High Income Group (HIG), to participate in the lottery.
The second phase of the Tathawade project consists of 792 flats, of which 634 units remain available. The housing options include 1 BHK flats priced at approximately ₹46 lakh and 2 BHK flats priced at around ₹64.5 lakh.
According to MHADA officials, the relaxed income norms are expected to increase participation and help sell the remaining homes. The application registration and document scrutiny process will continue until August 23, followed by the computerized draw on August 25. Eligible applicants can submit their applications once the online registration process opens.
