Pune Traffic Advisory: Diversions Announced For Rally Today; Commuters Asked To Avoid Ganesh Road

The Pune City Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory for commuters in view of a rally and protest march scheduled for today. Temporary traffic diversions and restrictions will be implemented along the procession route depending on the movement of the rally.

According to the advisory, the procession will begin from Lal Mahal and pass through Daruwala Bridge, Narpatgiri Chowk, Bolai Mata Temple, before concluding at the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Statue near Sassoon Hospital.

As a result, traffic movement may be affected on the following roads:

* Ganesh Road

* Kelkar Road

* Shivaji Road

* Nehru Road

To minimise congestion, the Pune Traffic Police have suggested alternate routes for commuters:

For Laxmi Road: Vehicles from Daruwala Bridge should proceed via Dulya Maruti and take a right turn towards their destination.

For Ganesh Road: Motorists travelling from Lal Mahal and Phadke Haud should use the Surya Hospital–15 August Chowk route.

For Kelkar Road: Vehicles should travel via ABC Chowk, Futka Buruj and Surya Hospital.

For Shivaji Road: Commuters are advised to use Jangli Maharaj Road, Riverbed Road and Tilak Road.

For Nehru Road: Vehicles should use Ganesh Road or travel via Banerjee Chowk and Nehru Memorial.

The Traffic Police have urged citizens to avoid Ganesh Road as far as possible due to the likelihood of heavy traffic congestion. Motorists are requested to use the designated alternate routes, cooperate with traffic personnel on duty, and follow all traffic instructions to ensure smooth vehicular movement across the city.

The advisory has been issued by the Pune City Traffic Police to help minimise inconvenience and maintain orderly traffic during the protest march.
