Pune, July 23: Hundreds of students from Pune, Ahmednagar and Nashik districts have expressed anger over the delay in the declaration of Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) examination results conducted by Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) in April.

Students and their representatives have warned that they will launch a protest outside the university’s examination department if the pending results are not announced within the next two days.

A memorandum highlighting the issue was submitted to the university’s examination director, with students questioning the reason behind the delay of nearly three months in releasing the results.

Student representatives alleged that the delay reflects poor management by the examination department and has created uncertainty among thousands of students waiting for their academic progression.

The delayed results have affected students seeking admission to postgraduate courses, as many colleges require final-year marksheets during the admission process. Students have also claimed that the delay is impacting their ability to apply for government and private job opportunities where result verification is mandatory.

Demanding immediate action, students have urged the university administration to declare all pending BA and BCom results for students from Pune, Ahmednagar and Nashik regions within two days.

“If the university fails to address the issue within the given deadline, students will stage a sit-in protest outside the examination department. The administration will be responsible for the academic losses faced by students,” said student representative Shiva Barole.

Students said the prolonged delay has caused significant stress and uncertainty, and demanded that the university take immediate steps to resolve the issue and ensure timely declaration of examination results in the future.
