Pune, July 25, 2026: Residents of Pune’s NIBM–Undri Road area are raising concerns over frequent power outages, alleging that prolonged electricity disruptions have become a daily ordeal. According to locals, several neighbourhoods have experienced power cuts lasting between six and seven hours, severely affecting daily life.

The power cut issue is mainly faced by Clover Pinnacle Ridge, Clover Palisades, Konark Indrayu Phase I and II, Winspire, Good Shepherd Church Lane, Clover Hills, Natraj Garden, and many others in the vicinity.

Residents attribute the recurring outages to the rapid population growth in the area without a corresponding upgrade in electricity infrastructure. They claim that while residential development has accelerated over the past few years, the power distribution network has failed to keep pace, resulting in repeated supply interruptions.

The frequent outages have disrupted the lives of students attending online classes, working professionals, senior citizens, and business owners. Many residents say the lack of electricity has affected productivity, essential household activities, and commercial operations. They also alleged that responses from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) are often delayed, with complaints remaining unresolved for extended periods.

Several residents from the NIBM–Undri locality shared their experiences, highlighting the inconvenience caused by recurring power cuts and calling for immediate intervention. They urged the authorities to address the issue before it worsens further, especially as the area’s population continues to grow.

With public frustration mounting, residents are now seeking clarity from MSEDCL on when the electricity infrastructure in the NIBM–Undri belt will be upgraded. They have demanded a long-term solution to ensure a reliable power supply and relief from recurring outages that have become a persistent concern.
